Why Sawasdee Law
What Sets Our Approach Apart
Working through a family matter is rarely simple. We bring steadiness, clarity, and genuine care to every step.
Unhurried Conversations
We do not rush clients. Every meeting is structured so you have time to think, ask, and understand — at your own pace.
Complete Confidentiality
What you share stays between us. Our offices and processes are set up with your privacy in mind from the first contact.
Focused Family Practice
We work only in family law. That focus means we understand the emotional weight of these matters and know the local courts well.
Clear Written Records
After every significant meeting, you receive written notes. Nothing important is left to memory — yours or ours.
Child-Centred Thinking
In parenting matters, children's interests shape how we frame every conversation and every document we draft.
Bangkok-Based Knowledge
Longstanding relationships with Bangkok's family courts and mediators let us navigate your matter with local fluency.
Ready to Have a First Conversation?
There is no commitment in reaching out. A short call or message is enough to start — we will take it from there, gently.
Common Questions
Things People Often Ask Us
What happens at the first meeting?
The first meeting is a listening session. You describe your situation in your own words, and we ask gentle questions to understand what matters most to you. At the end, you receive a written note of the main points. There is no pressure to engage us further after that session.
How long does a family matter typically take?
It depends on how straightforward the situation is. Arrangement support usually takes one to two months. Contested matters that go before a judge take longer and depend partly on the court's schedule. We will give you a realistic timeframe early on, based on what you have shared with us.
Are your fees fixed or variable?
The consultation fee and arrangement support fee are set amounts. Full representation is also a fixed fee for the overall file. We explain the full cost before you decide anything, so there are no unexpected additions later.
Will everything I share remain private?
Yes. Legal professional privilege applies from the moment you first speak with us. Information you share is not disclosed to anyone — including the other party — without your instruction. We take confidentiality seriously at every stage.
Do you work with clients who are not Thai nationals?
Yes, we work with expatriates and international clients regularly. Family law in Thailand has specific rules around foreign nationals, and we are experienced in navigating these with you clearly and without unnecessary complexity.
Can matters be handled without going to court?
Many family matters are resolved through negotiation and agreed documents, without any court involvement. We always explore that path first when it is suitable. We will be straightforward with you about whether litigation is likely to be necessary in your situation.
