A Practice Built on Quiet Attentiveness
Sawasdee Law was founded with one conviction: families navigating legal difficulties deserve steady, honest guidance — not urgency.

How Sawasdee Law Came to Be
Sawasdee Law was established in Bangkok in 2009 by a small group of Thai legal practitioners who had spent years working within larger commercial firms and felt something important was missing: time. Time to sit with a client, to understand the full shape of a family situation, to explain things without the pressure of a clock.
The practice has stayed deliberately small. We see that as a feature. Our lawyers know their clients by name, return calls the same day, and write notes after every meeting so nothing important gets lost between sessions.
The name reflects the spirit of the work. Sawasdee is a greeting rooted in respect and warmth — two qualities we try to bring to every interaction, whether a first enquiry or a long and difficult proceeding.
Our Mission
To offer family legal services in Thailand that centre the human being behind each case — listening carefully, explaining clearly, and proceeding at a pace that allows thoughtful decisions.
Our Values
- Attentiveness — we listen before we recommend anything.
- Transparency — fees, timelines, and likely outcomes are explained plainly.
- Discretion — every matter is handled in strict confidence.
- Care — we remember that behind every file is a family.

Our Standards
How We Work
Every aspect of our practice is arranged to protect your interests and make the process as clear as possible.
Lawyer-Client Privilege
All information you share with us is protected by legal professional privilege. It is not disclosed without your written consent, period.
Thai Bar Council Registered
All practitioners are registered with the Lawyers Council of Thailand and maintain current standing with mandatory continuing education requirements.
Written Notes Every Time
After every meaningful meeting, we produce a written summary. You always have a clear record of what was discussed and agreed.
Child-Focused Protocol
In all matters involving children, we follow a framework that places their long-term wellbeing above procedural efficiency or adult preferences.
Fixed, Disclosed Fees
We explain the full cost of each service before any commitment is made. There are no supplementary charges added without prior agreement.
Cross-Cultural Competence
We regularly assist Thai and international clients on matters touching multiple legal systems. We explain differences plainly and handle the complexity for you.
Family Legal Support in Bangkok
Sawasdee Law has worked with families across Bangkok and the greater Pathum Wan area since 2009. Our practice covers the range of situations families face: initial uncertainty about options, the drafting of parenting arrangements, and the careful handling of contested matters before Thailand's family courts.
Thailand's Civil and Commercial Code governs most family law questions, and Bangkok's family courts have specific processes that benefit from experienced guidance. We know those processes and help clients navigate them without unnecessary detours.
Clients come to us from a range of backgrounds — Thai nationals, long-term expatriates, and international residents with questions about how Thai law applies to their situation. Our response is always the same: we listen first, explain carefully, and act only when you are ready.
